Twiglet
Twiglet was part of a group of 26 guineas who were rescued from a property in February 2025.
All of the guineas had suffered prolonged neglect, all were either pregnant or on pregnancy watch.
Twiglet had a large wound on her back on arrival and was pregnant. The wound was incredibly slow to heal, no doubt due to the neglect and in March she was rushed to the vets as she had severed an artery from chewing the wound.
She received life saving treatment and went on to safely deliver 3 babies in April. Twiglet eventually made a full recovery and she and her daughter Pom were adopted.
