Oliver Twist

Oliver Twist was dumped in a cardboard box by the side of a road in September 2023.

A member of the public thankfully opened the box and he was taken to a local vet practice.

He stayed at the vets for a couple of days where they noted he was missing a lower incisor and then brought to Cavy Corner. As we had no history as to why he was missing a tooth it was decided he would remain a permanent resident where we could monitor his teeth and provide vet care if needed.

Some very sad news to share.

Oliver Twist was sadly put to sleep earlier this week.

Mark from Guinea Pig Magazine brought him to Cavy Corner and Alison from GPM gave him his name.

He was very much loved by all of the volunteers due to his huge personality and his "shake" after a head scratch.

Oliver had been living with volunteer Louise on foster for the past year and a half, first with Mokey and then Desmond after Mokey sadly passed away. He also spent time at Louise's when he was bonded with Smores and Smores needed round the clock care. He loved having his floor time, napping under her table and shouting when his veg was due.
