Guinea pigs are surrendered into rescues for many different reasons.
Some guineas experience horrific cruelty and neglect or are cruelly dumped and abandoned. Others are surrendered due to the owners circumstances changing.
A common reason we get surrender requests for are children getting bored. Please only consider adopting pets that an adult is fully committed to caring for.

Cookie and her companion were surrendered in January 2026.

George and Ginny were dumped on a street in a tiny mouse cage in cold and foggy weather in September 2024.

Hope and Charity were rescued after suffering horrendous neglect.
