New Canopy

THANK YOU to everyone who has donated to our Gofundme Appeal. We are delighted to share with you our fabulous new Canopy.

This structure will provide a safe and dry place for Volunteers to work whilst cage cleaning and preparing equipment and materials.

The lighting means it's a much safer working environment during dark evenings (Guineas are rescued at all hours of the day and night).

The Canopy keeps  everything dry, including the huge bags of guinea cage waste which volunteers lift by hand on and off the trailer. It's then taken to a local farm where its composted then spread on the field. Rain getting into the bags made them even heavier and harder to handle.

The ground was underwater in last winter's flooding and remained boggy and uneven. The newly laid paving is safer and easier to keep clean.

Volunteer Ellie, who has volunteered for 11 years started the Go fundme and was asked to cut the ribbon.
