2017 Sunday 12th November 2017
This twice yearly Cavy Corner event is a big favourite with adults and children.
This show is the 16th Fun Show Cavy Corner has held and previous venues include Danum Academy, Bentley Pavilion and Hatfield Woodhouse Village Hall and Balby Carr Sports Academy. In addition to entering the show visitors will be able to meet staff from Guinea Pig Magazine. There will a FABULOUS range of items for sale. Watch nail clipping and syringe feeding demonstrations, enjoy tasty home made buns and drinks, children’s creative area and plenty of opportunities to meet like minded people and their adorable small and furry pets.
And…meet Kevin our Facebook star!
- All your small furry pets welcome including Skinny Pigs, Rabbits, Guineas, Hamsters and even Rats can come along to take part.
- Humans welcome with or without pets too!
- No Cats or Dogs please.
- All animals attending must be in suitable, comfortable carriers or cages and have access to food and water throughout the event.
Pet welfare is of paramount importance to Cavy Corner and we have Cavy Corner Guinea Monitors appointed to ensure that all animals present are comfortable. If you have a problem on the day please ask and we will try to help. Many animals enjoy coming to events like this as much as their owners but if you have a pet that is very timid / nervous or dislikes being away from home please come along without him or her. You know your pet best.
These are the catorgories for the show.
Most categories are self explanatory but a few words about Rescue Pet of The Year class – this is open to any pet who has been adopted or rescued. And the VIP Veteran class which is open to any elderly or disabled pet or any pet who has ongoing difficulties or special needs.

Cavy Corner attends many Galas village shows and fete’s each year the Guineas attendance is, of course, subject to weather conditions for most outdoor events. If travelling specifically feel free to phone Cavy Corner on the morning… In the unlikely event that we are unable to attend a planned event we will leave a message stating this on the answer phone. Or check Cavy Corner Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/cavycorner as this is always current and we can update it instantly.
Please email sue@cavycorner with any event queries or if you would like to discuss Cavy Corner attending your event.
We gratefully accept donations of money and also vegetable treats for the guineas so if you are coming along to see us and wish to bring a carrot or cucumber for your favourite guinea please feel free.
